South Korea Sneak Peek 3: Architecture stuffs in S-E-O-U-L

6 05 2012

Third part~~~ Previously, I said that I would not be sharing most if not ALL architecture-related pictures… but apparently, there are just plenty of interesting stuffs to share! :D I can’t help it.

There are a lot of fun and quirky buildings in South Korea. They make me wonder what the designers’ concepts or stories were to create the facades. I can’t really say much for Busan though. We only had a limited time to explore the city. But then again, Busan is a more laid back city compared to Seoul.

Surprisingly, when I wanted to wander around the vicinity of COEX and Gangnam, Achi was the one who accompanied me. Dad stayed inside COEX and the Paris Baguette instead. Same goes with Ma and Shobe. I bore them (ma and shobe) to death sometimes. XD

Anyway… let’s start with one of Seoul’s famous landmark:

Namsan Tower

Clockwise: the exterior shot of the tower, a shot from Teddy Bear Museum, the famous love-locks, and the view from the observatory.

The climb up to the observation deck+teddy bear museum is a bit pricy though… but the view of the city is pretty. =)

Project 5 updates~

23 04 2012

So…. I have not given any updates on project 5. ^^; It’s still under works o_o; I have… stopped working on it for 5 months…. Yeh… anyway. All of my stuffs are strewn throughout the study room, making the room look more chaotic than usual. So, I really need to finish this project ASAP! XD

I stopped working on project 5 last November 25, 2011. Right before we left for S. Korea, which is another backlog. Haha. (But, I’m seriously working on it!)

Anyway. It’s current state before resuming again tonight:

Just a few more details left to paint~! Hope I will be able to finish it tonight! :D

Wong Fu Productions in Manila

22 03 2012

This is an overdue entry (along with many other pending entries). I planned on blogging this the night after the event…but somehow had procrastinated until now. Haha. Anyway…

The day I started working in new office, I found out that WongFu Productions were coming to Manila (March 1)! I was ecstatic. Happy! Overjoyed! Wait. Am I really going? Hmm. Where will the event be held? I opened ticketworld for the location and found out it will be at Greenhills Music Museum. My heart stopped.

Why?

It’s because my new working place is just a few meters away from Greenhills! I could just jump out of the window and be there already! … okay not really. It’s a 4-5minute walk. But still. I decided that I will definitely be going! This was a great chance/opportunity. I should not waste it. So…Ta-da~~~!

Project 5 – repainting of arki closet

16 10 2011

Project 5 –repainting of arki closet
**I have changed the name of the projects from letters to numbers. I have realized that I’d have trouble in lettering the projects once I would reach letter Z. AA, AB, AC, AD… would not sound very good haha same with for A2, B2, C2 etc.

There are a lot of things that I want to fix or change in our house. The landscape of our lawn, refurbishing our bathroom (more like an area of our bathroom), renovating our bedroom, changing some of the pieces of furniture of our study room/achi’s room, removing the storage room behind our house, etc. But, I don’t have funds on doing those, so I’ll start small—my arki closet.

Introducing my storage for architecture stuffs since college, a part of it anyway: ↓↓↓

Doesn’t it look like as if it came from a horror movie? @_@ Maybe it became like that because of the reaction of the paint and the stuff that I wiped the insides with to kill the ants plus dusts? Ants had terrorized my closet which was weird, because I had never put food in it. O_O ohwell.

Anyway, this idea had struck me tonight:

The color scheme will be black and white. I prefer the second picture because I want to stay as minimalist or simple as possible because once I put my stuffs back in, it might look a lot more cluttered. The bottom details won’t be seen anyway. I plan on using either paint or spray paint. Then maybe I will use foam boards for some of the details to pop out. I’m also considering putting one or two extra colors for accent. :)

I plan on doing this by next week? OR on the long weekend from October 29 – 31. ^^. Yey! First sortof big project! 頑張ります! p(^v^)q

I really need to sleep early… It’s currently 1:50am.
