[Jdrama] Proposal Daisakusen

My guy friend had recommended this 2007 jdrama since forever! I have also asked a copy from him (also since forever), but he told me the cd is with his sister. BUT, the other night, I had explored his cd collection (which was with me since 3 or more yrs ago XD), and there it was in one of his back-up cds. Lol =)) He was surprised as well when I told him. ^^; so yeh. I watched it obviously… no—more like I marathoned it last night from around 730pm – 230am. XD I thought I was going to stop till episode 5, but, I can’t stop myself from not knowing what the main character will do in the next episode!!! I love this jdrama!!! This is def one of my favourites!!!

The synopsis of Proposal Daisakusen (taken from dramawiki)

Iwase Ken and Yoshida Rei have been friends since elementary school. Ken, is obstinate and unskilled in love, but he fell long ago for the lively and cheerful, Rei. But Rei is about to get married to another man. While Ken and other friends from high-school attend the wedding ceremony, a fairy appears and sends Ken back in time, giving him a second chance to win the girl he loves.

 
I think this is my first time to watch Yamapi in a drama. ^^; lol. And, he is good! I thought he did well in this drama anyway. I have always just known him as a JE idol, Shirota Yuu’s friend, and also lately, Kim Jaejoong’s friend (who is JJ not friends with???).

I’m a bit irked with stories of going-back-to-the-past-to-change-something-that-I-had-regretted, but this drama’s story is actually nice! I cried! (∏_∏) It had a happy ending though. Their relationship was just sooo sad, yet so sweet! They could’ve had a good ending from the start, but both were not running on the same direction.

I thought the main character has a strong personality. He went back in time, to re-experience those harsh moments. He made the past not-so-bad-not-so-good memories into bittersweet ones. He didn’t make any major progress when he went back in time, but at least he showed more of his feelings than what he did the first time around (I thought it was better that way anyway.). He also not only changed his past, but also his friends’.

Some of the scenes were quite clichéd like what Tada-sensei did in the last episode. The ending was a bit amusing, too. Iwase was in-charge of the speech for the newly-weds. He professed his love for Rei there. Something along the lines of, “congratulations to you newly weds! Oh Rei, btw, I have loved you since forever, and I still love you a heck lot, but whichever makes you happy, I’ll be happy for you; and wish the both of you happiness.” =)) Then Tada-sensei later let Rei go. LOL. That was a short marriage. They were married and divorced/annulled on the same day. (I had a friend who became a couple then breaking up on the same day.. but the drama is just so different on so many levels.)

But, yeh, I would recommend this drama to anyone! It has a “doki-doki” factor, which I love. Japan don’t make good romance-comedy dramas anymore =\ I think the latest good rom-com would be Atashinchi no Danshi, which was just above average for me. Ouran 2011, is just average. I have watched the first ep of HanaKimi 2011, and I didn’t ‘click’. (Some of the remake characters were okay though, like Nanba.) Ohwell…

[recommendations] old but good

Is new always better than old? Barney Stinson said so… but, i’m not sure if I agree )

I had nothing much to do around but sit and wait for graduation (and try to fix my resume and answer that boring eleap survey, and look for a white cloth, set up portable studio and take pics of bags…), so i entertained myself with some dramas that i had downloaded before (that i still haven’t watched) and random anime that are lying around.

first off:
Samurai High School (2009).
I actually downloaded this just because of Miura Haruma, Sakurada Doori, Yanagishita Tomo, and especially of Shirota Yuu ♥ (shallow much….)

anyway. i thought the plot was so simple but entertaining enough Shirota Yu’s acting was just so cute!!! I thought he did well! Especially Miura Haruma!!!! I just love watching their dramas.. no matter how shallow the plot is ^^.

Next:
Keizoku 2: SPEC (2010).

The english subs are still ongoing. Episodes 1-8 are already up Thank you very much to the subbers, timers, etc! ^^ おつかれさまです!!! ^^

yet.. embarrassingly.. I downloaded this because of Shirota Yu… hehe -___-;

BUT! The plot is good!! from the first episode that left me so confused but interested, to the eight episode that has soft subs, to skipping to the final episode and comprehending little Japanese!

[spoiler] Shirotan’s acting reminded me of Mariya Kyosuke, his character in Koshonin (which btw, is also a good drama! sad that the season 2 subs are unavailable it was hard watching it T_T not comprehending what they were saying…) in the last episode!!! ^__^ it was still good though! love that drama.

My older sister said it reminded her of heroes.. hm.. it is kind of like heroes… but i thought this was better lol.. heroes was just sooooooo long. i had watched season 1 and liked it! didn’t bother finishing season 2… o_o;

can’t wait for the episode 9 and 10 subs! ^^

other dramas that i plan on watching: Liar Game 2 and Liar Game: The Final Stage (movie)… (and no, i’m not watching it because of someone again :p someone recommended season 1 a few years ago, and i just would like to watch the rest ^^)

about anime…..
I was just bored and wanted to watch anime…. and I remembered this specific anime that my sister had downloaded a few years ago.. 2009 i think o_o and I thought I shall give it a second chance. haha

the title of the anime is Junjou Romantica. hahaha I had watched both seasons I prefer the egoist couple btw. haha they are just cute teehee~

i think there should be more anime like this. haha

i blame my little sister for introducing me the other world, and older sister for dl-ing it haha

it’s a good anime anyway.. hehe the manga was extreme for me though o_o but i like the egoist couple though… so… yeh……. *cough.

moving on.

i’m so gonna look for more Jdramas and anime~! haven’t seen good anime previews though.. most are in favor for men >_> if you know what i mean… maybe i’ll watch gundam again…

hmm… what is this year’s kamen rider series about? kamen rider kiva is good! first few episodes were full of nonsense though hahaha but the actual plot is good! ^^

Code Geass is also good! (anime) 2 seasons.
Love Shuffle (Jdrama)! this actually has a nice plot.. love the humor hehe ^^

is CLAMP is still active in the anime world? o_O I love their art! especially manga art!!! ♥♥♥

Cause i was so busy with school works (particularly with plates) and the float for our college week, i have missed a lot from the stuffs i usually follow~

 

Bloody Monday Season 2 is already airing! =D loved Bloody Monday 1…so cant wait to watch (currently downloading episode 1)

 

One Ok Rock has a new single!!! and i think i like it a lot they are back with new songs yey! i missed them =\ After listening to this single makes me want to create a playlist composed of only their music

 

as for DBSK nothing really new.. just some mag photo shoots and interviews…and Junsu’s Mozart performances (Xiahzart)..etc When are you guys gonna perform? =\ i love your live performances… (oh yeah so far there have been unbiased positive reviews regarding ‘Xiahzart ‘~~ more love to junsu ♥♥♥)

Oh yeah! btw. my sisters and i bought tokyo dome dvd and break out cd+dvd

Buying Tokyo Dome was so worth it. break out too. haha but LoveLoveLoveLove tokyo dome. I’d love to watch a concert of Tohoshinki in the future (preferably japan concerts over korea.. cause i might not be able to hear them singing due to the screams brought by the fans p_q moreover i might even become deaf halfway through the concert XD)

 

Hey homeboy sup? ) well.. Wang LeeHom won 4 awards from Beijing 2009 Pop Music Awards congratulationss~~~~

one of his songs from heart beat got stuck in my head lately (in the last few days of the previous plate). I was really annoyed by one of our groupmates (to think what she did was inexcusable during our plate deliberation, too). and at one time, when i was darn irritated of her, this song had started to play, and i embraced it. LOL 我完全沒有任何理由理你. the title is self explainable (though i doubt she’d understand it anyway haha since she doesn’t know Chinese..unless she uses google.translate or something LOL).

 

Autumn Concerto, Next Stop Happiness; a drama of Vanness Wu! my older sister is currently following this chinese drama, and i must say i like it! the kid there is too adorable! and the kid can act!(most kids would do fail-acting but he was too adorable and too cute!)

I’m not a fan of Taiwan dramas, cause most of their scenes are just too dramatic and sooo sad/heartbreaking. This is why i follow mostly Jdramas (causes they can mix comedy and drama well). I recommend watching autumn concerto

so far i had only really like/d to Taiwan dramas: Lavender and Autumn Concerto.. My luck Star was ok =) The sensational Meteor Garden was..pretty meh for me.. only watched a couple of episodes..o_O

 

Lastly! How I met Your Mother season 5! I have already missed 2 episodes hahah. This sitcom is hilarious~! i have only started to follow this tv drama since season 3 when we were doing a group plate at our groupmate’s house cause they were watching it. I only like a couple other west dramas like Psych, The Nanny, Midsomer Murders, House, and CSI: Las Vegas…
