New doodle of the week~!
I’m still thinking of a good title for this drawing. The other day it was Mercenary, then Not What It Seems, then today it’s Wanted. Still not happy with the title though.
I purposely had the left side blank. I planned on writing a sentence or few, but I can’t think of anything for now, since I don’t have a title yet. Haha
Who had thought of this when they saw the title? XD
How I came up with the drawing:
I have always wanted to draw a rainy scene, but my passed attempts were total fail. ^^; It was cloudy the other day and it was chilly in the office. I suddenly had the itch attempt a rainy drawing scene. I did at a scratch paper first then proceeded to notebook.( I would show the drawing from the scratch paper here, but it’s in the office haha.)
I wanted to set the drawing in the ‘dark ages’; hence the dresses, the streetlights and the supposed cobblestone road ^^; There are some parts that I want to improve on though… like that blot on the sidewalk, the lamppost (they looked too near from each other), and the road. ^^; Oh and my signature. LOL I made mistake in my signature.. lolwhat. =))
Anyway… about the drawing:
The man is walking alone on one side of the road; the 2 females avoided him by walking to the opposite side. They thought he looked like a suspicious person. The dark clothes, the hidden face, the unknown baggage—they all scream suspicious.
But, is he really? Maybe he is a traveller—someone who just look haggard from his journey from who-knows-where. Or just a regular person who just had a rough day. We’ll never really know.
Likened to present times, it is hard to trust people nowadays. We try to keep ourselves safe by knowingly or unknowingly categorizing people by how they look whether that person is under the safe or the unsafe.
What can you say about the drawing?
Pens used: 2 sharpie markers (lilac and mint), and a 0.1 WG Copic multiliner for the signature and other notes. (I love this pen! It looked as if I used pencil instead ^^)
This is also the first time I drew with no pencil base drawing.
weee~~
