During his interview on the 22nd, Shanghai Expo’s Korean pavilion administrative representative
KOTRA 조환익 사장 mentioned that,
“Shanghai expo would prepare for an important opportunity to knot closer ties and economic exchange
of Korea and China’s relationships further more.”
KOTRA head 조환익 사장 said that it is essential to use this opportunity to show the strength of a nation
as Shanghai expo is expected to have about 70,000,000 visitors.
He also mentioned that the core of the Korean pavilion contents will be image films. TVXQ, Yunho,
Super Junior M, F (x) and other Korean celebrities will be featured and the film presented will be
co-produced by the team work of Korea and China.
Also on May 26th on Korea’s National Day, a special concert is planned, in which Korean wave star ambassadors such as Jang Nara and many others are planned to participate.
why may? o_o we’ll (my dad, dad’s friend and i) be going to the expo on early june!
sure tvxq will most likely not be there to perform, but still. hahaha nor am i a kpop general fan, although i know stuffs from kpop because of my sisters + omonatheydidnt… it would be fun to see some of ‘em personally. =))
oh well…. i hope the public are allowed to take pictures of the interior (aka core) of the pavilions… like taking a picture of yunho (from some projected screen, since he (and some others) will be featured on the film) as a gift to my sisters from shanghai. lol <_<
anyway… this has just added to my must go/see list for the expo

korea’s pavilion looks nice…but i liked how they had derived their concept to create this look. (look it up in archdaily.com) …compared to macau’s rabbit pavilion. yes, rabbits are cute, the model of the pavilion looks amusing.. but are they serious?…although i can’t wait to see the actual pavilion
(haha)

and yeah what about the UK pavilion o_o..

it looks like a giant sea urchin.. i wonder how visitors can get in.. saw the construction development photos of this pavilion.
other pavilions look physically promising like italy’s and china’s (du-gong system) pavilion and others~

Can’t wait for the trip to the expo~
i want to see how the pavilions will look like in real life. Computer renderings can be misleading, especially shopped ones. likewise to models.
for more info regarding the expo just refer to the official site of the shanghai expo 2010
