Wong Fu Productions in Manila

22 03 2012

This is an overdue entry (along with many other pending entries). I planned on blogging this the night after the event…but somehow had procrastinated until now. Haha. Anyway…

The day I started working in new office, I found out that WongFu Productions were coming to Manila (March 1)! I was ecstatic. Happy! Overjoyed! Wait. Am I really going? Hmm. Where will the event be held? I opened ticketworld for the location and found out it will be at Greenhills Music Museum. My heart stopped.

Why?

It’s because my new working place is just a few meters away from Greenhills! I could just jump out of the window and be there already! … okay not really. It’s a 4-5minute walk. But still. I decided that I will definitely be going! This was a great chance/opportunity. I should not waste it. So…Ta-da~~~!

heartfelt MVs and others

28 12 2011

I planned on posting other entries, but I have trouble forming words for them. ^^; Hence, this is another videos post. I thought the videos are kind of fitting for the holidays :)

First MV: Magnetic North & Taiyo Na – Home:Word

A song about family. :,( yeah… it made my heart burn.

Jay Chou’s new MV: 世界未末日 (Not the End of the World)

Live your life as if it’s your last day on earth. Live without regrets. Let us not wait for the end of the world to make peace. – These pretty much sum up the whole story of the song, but still worth listening and viewing. =)

Rake: 100万回の「i love you」

A friend shared this song the other night in our mini high school reunion, but due to our limited time, I had only listened to parts of it. I thought I like the song; hence YOUTUBE!!! The song is easy to listen to. Very light. Very simple. I love the MV because of the red strong concept and that Ba-chon (Baba Toru) is there ♥ ;;) I like his smile (at 2:59 and 4:06) =^^= ♥The men with red fabric covering their head were…a tad bit eerie. ^_-;

Last video is a Christmas short c/o Wong Fu Productions – The End of Wong Fu: A Christmas Story

I will be sad if Wong Fu did end. =( Just had been a fan recently but I like them a lot already. Don’t say or do anything you don’t mean, because you might regret it in the end. I was not sure whether to feel bad for Ted or to laugh. The scene was amusing, but at the same time, it is kind of sad. Lol The behind the scenes were too funny.

P.S. I did the drawing even before watching Wong Fu’s The Shell; hence the title of my drawing: Shoujou Manga. :)

are males more sentimental than females?

24 10 2011

So this is another Wong Fu Productions video. haha. But, I promise that this video is REALLY nice.

The commentary for their short film can be read here. The video itself is already very moving, but after reading the story behind this, it made me fall in love with it even more. ♥

Are most male species more romantic than females nowadays? Wong Fu Productions are composed of 3 guys. They are the ones who write their shorts. The video above is an example of their sweet and meaningful films. Another example would be novelist Nicholas Sparks. He writes sappy romantic novels. Shakespeare, too, in a way I guess. o_o;

My guy friends’ view of ‘love’ is full of fluff, sugary goodness, with a pinch of drama. I saw how they courted their might-be-the-one females. They can be overly sentimental. I like this stage though; they’re happy. I like happy people ^^; The downside of this though, if they got hurt, they can either be so bitter or so depressed. Not saying they can’t be bitter or sad when nothing went right or something o_o; It is their right after all… But they can be so mean when they are bitter. haha

I don’t have much stories to tell of about females’ point of views… I have only a small sample of females compared to males. o_o; I guess females are harder to read, despite being a female myself. lol. But, I know, they do ‘enjoy’ the doki-doki feeling. Err… kilig factor. … … … AH! Got it! They like things that make their heart skip a beat or swoon. ^^; yeah… I have a different view though, and it isn’t the sentimental, sweet, fluff, drama, and sugary goodness either. o_o; oh… I guess this explains my near nonexistent love life. Hahaha =)) ohwell…

These are just what I think anyway…

Jason Harwell – Somewhere The Sun

23 10 2011

I only listen to a handful of english songs; hence my tags lack them. Not saying the new songs playing in the radio are bad. Some are good, but only a few get to be in my playlist. Most songs are just not my preference. (I heard this song through a Wong Fu video ^^)

The lyrics made me realize a lot of things. haha ^^; I’ve always told myself that I will do something about this or that, then delay the plan. Last month was the least inspiring month this year, career-wise. I didn’t like the feeling because it made me feel lost. Lately, I’ve been trying to get back into my hobbies, like sketching. I have just reopened my A4 sized sketchpad this week,(I said I didn’t like sketchpads before, but, the paper of this sketchpad is soooo nice! Plus it was a gift!). My last drawing was back in 2009. LOL

Anyway… Ideas, curiosity and imagination of whatever random things are rolling back… slowly. ^^; ohwell. better than nothing. :)
